Spectacular white water and a unique natural backdrop offer a spectacle of contrasts. The Vorderrhein, which has its source in the canton of Graubünden (Surselva) near the Oberalp Pass, offers plenty of opportunities for water sports enthusiasts. It is not without reason that it is one of the most popular rivers in the Alps for river rafting. The river rafting tour in Graubünden stretches from Ilanz to Reichenau. The Vorderrhein takes you through the Rhine Gorge in the Surselva, which is also known as the "Swiss Grand Canyon". The meeting point for the river rafting tour on the Vorderrhein is Ilanz near Flims. The tour ends at Reichenau railroad station. It is best to leave your car in Reichenau and take the train to Ilanz in about 25 minutes. The river rafting is operated exclusively by certified staff.
